New Functionality

This release includes the following new functionality:

  • Google Maps support - In Pronto Xi 750, Service Management uses Google Maps to visualise the location of field engineers and service calls, to assist with call allocation. Pronto Xi Web Server 2.4 has the ability to draw Google maps, and is a prerequisite for using this functionality.

  • Local Agent support - Local agent is a Windows application that gives the Web Interface access to local files, import and export files to an application, access to QuickLinks, printing on your local machine and access to devices installed on your local computer.

  • Single Sign-On integration - Pronto Xi Web Server can be configured to allow users to log in to Pronto Xi using Cipherise. Cipherise is an innovative authentication solution that is highly secure and extremely easy to use.

Enhancements

  • The login and logout pages have been enhanced to be responsive to desktop and touch devices such as tablets and mobile phones. With this change, these release notes no longer pop up. A red dot on the information icon in the bottom left of screen indicates new release notes are available. Click the information icon at anytime to view the release notes.

  • A navigation bar has been added to the user interface, and delivers improved support for touch devices. The navigation bar allows users to navigate between records one at a time, a page at a time, or by jumping straight to the first or last record, and can be easily suppressed.

  • The Phase 6 reports have been enhanced for better viewing.

  • The Pronto Connect admin console can only be run locally, it can no longer be run remotely.

  • The feedback collector has been removed from the Web Interface.
